London Born, Manchester-based Meme Gold is a DJ, Designer, and creative; since launching her clothing brand Meme Gold in 2014, the multi-discipline curator has expanded the Meme Gold universe fusing music, fashion, broadcasting, and events.
Drawing on her west African and Caribbean heritage whilst growing up in a creative environment, Meme Gold blossomed an eclectic taste, spanning R&B, Afrobeat, Soul, Jazz & everything in between; Curating and hosting on a regular NTS show, alongside djing at Parklife, in-store gigs for Lacoste, Uniqlo & Champion and a swing ting residency - Gold keeps herself busy, solidifying her style as a natural selector, vibist and music curator in Manchester and beyond.
When not on the stage herself (like her recent support slot on Murkage Daves UK tour), behind-the-scenes Meme Gold has styled shows for Princess Nokia & TLC, featured her clothes in videos for IAMDDB (Colors Berlin & Music Videos), Lola Indigo, Wizkid (No stress music video) and appeared on Jamz Supernovas BBC newbeats documentary ‘a DIY generation’. (oh.. and also featured on a New balance Billboard)
Casually adding bucket list accolades to her portfolio and maintaining her DIY, no rules approach to creation, Meme Gold continues to serve her melting pot of music and fashion — encouraging us to be our own muses.
